6x6 Convention project

I also made a 6x6 scrapbook page layout for a project/kit for a group gathering at stamp convention. I used the same layout for my convention swap card (see previous post) and turned it into a 6x6 layout.
....once again super easy!

Convention Swap 08 - paper saving tip!

O.k...............I'm having troubles with this blogging deal......I keep uploading these pictures and some keep turning sideways.
I'm just going to leave it and go finish packing. Please just "Tilt" to view this one! :-) Here are my swaps for the Stampin' Up! convention this year. I am so excited to go to Salt Lake City...I look forward to convention all summer long. I used the new scallop edge punch for this card layout and it made it so easy.....so I made 100 of these to swap out with all the other crazy demo swappers at convention! (Yep, you know who you are! tee hee). If you are a customer of mine you will get to see all the cards I swapped these out for at our next class/home workshop. Remember to book your own catalog party or home workshop to get the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog & Idea Book for FREE!

I made a few variations to the design so that is why you might see a little something different on each of these. Of course they also look different with the different designer papers used. I used all new cardstock: Riding Hood Red & Kiwi Kiss and designer paper: Bella Rose.

The flower is the 5 petal punch with a jumbo eyelet and some scrap ribbon.

Here's a fun trick to save paper on this card: When you use the new scallop edge punch it punches the scallops and give you the scallop piece, some small scraps of trash and also a long skinny strip. SAVE that long skinny piece and add it to your design....just FLIP it over and attach it to you design. I used a glue pen for that.
Heading to Salt Lake City bright and early in the morning....take care, Jennifer

New Scallop Edge punch

Here is a sample of some projects made with a new punch that will be in the newest Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog available around August 1st. I punched the bottom of the red piece on the card and the top of the brown piece on the bag in a box.

This punch is super easy to use, easy to punch and easy to line up. I really liked how easy it was to punch through the designer paper! Put this one on your WISH LIST for ordering in August!

Coaster projects with Designer Paper

I came up with these projects while trying to clean out my stamp room and design projects for an event. Coasters are covered with designer papers and embellished. This is a great way to use up various scraps of all different patterns of the designer papers. Backs are covered too and don't really have to match the front.

The circle coaster would also make a great tag for a gift bag....instead of tying the 2 ribbons on the top left... put a punched hole in the top center and add a longer ribbon that can be tied onto a gift bag handle. Stamp "To: From:" on the River Rock piece of cardstock.

The square one is a great way to get the Crop-a-dile in your customers hands so they can try it out by punching holes and setting eyelets in the corners of that square coaster.

Enjoy, Jennifer

Wall Art...New Product Line!

You can view the Decor Elements catalog online by clicking here.

Check out this great announcement from Stampin' Up! ... all new stamp sets in the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog (including new hostess sets) will be die cut for your convenience! We know you enjoy the flexibility of custom mounting your stamps, and with these die-cut sets, all you'll need to do is pop, peel, and place before you begin stamping.
Only our new stamps will be die cut; sets carried over from the last catalog and those on the dormant list will still require trimming. Cool huh?!!! I love the way these are already trimmed so nice and neat. It will save me so much time and give me more time to STAMP, yeah!!!
Happy Stamping & decorating your walls, Jennifer

Last Call: In Line Colors

Here's the 6 In Colors for Stampin' Up!'s current catalog and idea book. Stock up now as these can only be ordered through the end of this catalog year (end July 08). Remember to order refills for your ink pads too. I love these colors and know I will love the next In Colors too! Here is a simple card, one of my favorite layouts lately as it is so quick and easy and I can use it for any type of card I need. This is a great card to use up scraps of designer papers & ribbons.
If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator this is an easy card to prep for a workshop or class and a great way to highlight a technique i.e. we did watercolor crayons and Aqua painters on the "bride" image and added some Dazzling Diamond glitter to the finished flowers. Super cute, great project for any level of stamper. Beginners could chalk in the image or use the blender pen...possibilities are endless! Enjoy, Jennifer
